Associate Purchase Reimbursement Program

 

ASSOCIATE PURCHASE REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAM

After 90 days of employment, Associates are eligible for a purchase reimbursement on products sold in our showrooms or on the internet. This policy does not apply to Associates who are on Leave of Absence status. The reimbursement will be computed depending on method of payment. All purchases are for personal use only, not for resale. Associate purchases must be paid at full retail price. Once the purchase is made, the Associate must complete the following steps in order for the reimbursement to be processed:

  • Review us: We should be our own biggest fans, so share a positive review of your shopping experience on either Google, Facebook, and/or Yelp. * The individual making the purchase (i.e., the Associate or the family member) should be the one to complete the review.
  • Take a survey: Complete at least one of the sales, product, or delivery surveys located in HR Help in UKG, under Request Forms. For a family member, the associate will need to complete the form in UKG.
  • Show us: Complete the Request for Reimbursement for Associate Purchase Form in HR Help in UKG, under Request Forms. Upload a copy of your invoice (only one invoice per form) and a screenshot of the review.

*If you did NOT have a positive shopping experience, upload document with a description of your reason in place of your review screenshot so that we can learn from each other.

Reimbursements are calculated based on the retail price of product purchases only and excludes delivery fees, in-home warranty and fabric protection.

Reimbursement or Discount will be reduced by any discounts previously granted on the invoice at the point of sale or post sale.

Reimbursements will be given out in the same manner as the original payment type as follows:

  • Cash or check – 30% off retail price for CITY and 35% off retail price for Ashley. Reimbursement will be made with a check.
  • Debit card – 29.5% off retail price for City and 34.5% off retail price for Ashley. Reimbursement will be made with a check. .
  • Credit card – 28% off retail price for City and 33% off retail price for Ashley for purchases with American Express, Visa, MasterCard and Discover. Reimbursement will be made through the credit card company.
  • Company finance programs – varies by promotional code used. Reimbursement will be through the finance company
The maximum allowance per Associate is as follows:
  • 90 days to 1 year (hire/anniversary date) - $2,000 (Associate only), (i.e. $600 discount if paid by cash or check)
  • 1 to 5 year - $5,000 (Associate and immediate family)
  • 6 to 10 years - $7,500 (Associate and immediate family)
  • 11 to 15 years - $10,000 (Associate and immediate family)
  • 16+ years - $12,500 (Associate and immediate family)
Only Associates are eligible during the first year of employment. Family members are eligible after the first year of employment. Family members eligible for the discount are the Associate’s spouse/domestic partner, children, parents, siblings, grandparents, and in-laws.

Purchase Requirements/Stipulations:
  1. We are pleased to offer a generous Associate Purchase Reimbursement and the approved/preferred days and times to shop/purchase in a showroom or on the internet are Monday through Friday from 10am to 7pm.
  2. In order to provide an excellent experience for our Customers, we need to reserve our Sales Associates availability in the showrooms, as well as delivery dates/times, for our Customers during the busiest times of the year. Please plan your shopping and purchases accordingly, based on the following guidelines:
    1. Associates and their family members are highly discouraged from shopping/purchasing on weekends in a showroom or on the internet. If purchases are made on a weekend, an Associate Reimbursement/Discount will not be granted.
    2. Associates and their family members are highly discouraged from shopping/purchasing in a showroom or on the internet during tent pole events (listed below and typically last 4-5 days). If purchases are made during a tent pole event, an Associate Reimbursement/Discount will not be granted.
      • New Year’s Day Event (January 1st)
      • Martin Luther King Day Event (January 15th through 18th)
      • President’s Day Event (February 12th through 15th)
      • Easter Weekend Event (April 2nd through 5th)
      • Memorial Day Event (May 28nd through 31st)
      • July 4th Event (July 2nd through 5th)
      • Labor Day Event (September 3rd through 6th)
      • Columbus Day Event (October 8th through 11th)
    3. Associates and their family members are highly discouraged from shopping/purchasing in a showroom or on the internet during the entire month of November. If purchases are made in November, an Associate Reimbursement/Discount will not be granted.
  3. The Associate or family member must identify themselves to a Sales Associates as soon as they enter the showroom.
  4. Under no circumstances can merchandise be taken by an Associate and/or family member prior to payment.
  5. No exchanges or returns are allowed under this program unless approved by the Associate’s departmental Leader.
  6. Delivery will be made only to the Associate or family member’s home.
  7. Direct purchase from a vendor (with the exception of a company approved program, such as Temper-Pedic) or any other violation of the discount policy will be grounds for immediate termination.
  8. Ashley Special Order purchases of product not in our current line-up is not eligible for employee discount
  9. The sale must be written as a split sale between the Sales Associate and #999 when the purchase is for non-Sales Associates or non-Sales Associates’ family members. For Sales Associates or Sales Associates’ family member purchases, the entire sale must be written to #999.
  10. All exceptions must be approved in writing by a departmental Leader prior to submitting the form for processing.
  11. Reimbursements will be given within 4-6 weeks after receipt of all merchandise.
  12. The discount does not apply to electronics, clearance and outlet items, and floor models, as our markup is nonexistent on these items. Associate purchases made during sales promotions will reduce the discount by the type of promotion.
  13. The yearly limits are based on Associate’s hire date, not calendar year, and are affected by the date of the invoice, not the receipt of the merchandise.
